Hello Everyone,

It appears we may have finally gotten past our one-hundred-degree days of summer as fall has officially arrived in the Kern River Valley.

As the fire fighters continue to mop up the French Fire and battle the Windy Fire let us make sure we give praise to those great men and women who place themselves on the line.  Without their collective efforts we could have lost many homes in the Wofford Heights and Alta Sierra areas, how those teams saved our great community I do not know but I am grateful for your efforts.

As we begin to approach the holiday season and the weather starts to cool, now would be a great time to reach out to those neighbors who may need an extra hand to prepare for winter.  When we all work together, we can accomplish great things.

On October 23 & 24, 2021 the Kernville Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Fall Festival in Circle Park, it is a great time had by all with the farmers market, various vendors and the word of a chili cook off has me a bit excited.

On October 31, 2021 is another Halloween as we get to see our youth in their best costumes, please drive slowly and watch for those excited individuals as they run from house to house seeking those sweets.

Your Kern River Valley Chamber of Commerce is seeking a theme for this years Christmas Parade which will be held the Saturday after Thanksgiving which is November 27, 2021.  If you have an idea, please forward it to the KRVCC or email it to office@kernrivervalley.com.

On October 13, 2021 at the general membership meeting your Kern River Valley Chamber of Commerce will have Mr. Gabriel Garcia from BLM to share information regarding local situations under their jurisdiction.  Please join us at 178 Bar & Grill for a great lunch and great information, you can rsvp through the Kern River Valley Chamber of Commerce website or contact the chamber directly.

Thank you, stay safe and I look forward to seeing many of you at our general membership meeting.
